A quiet pause for Rememberance

Remembrance Day is more than just a public holiday or a moment of silence; it is a solemn commitment to memory. It is the day we pause the noise of our lives to hear the echoes of sacrifice—the lives given, the futures forfeited, and the burdens carried by those who answered the call in times of conflict.
The act of wearing a poppy is a visual pledge that we will never forget the immense cost of freedom and peace. It reminds us that war is not a distant historical concept, but a devastating human experience. We honour not just those who fell, but also the veterans who returned, and the families who endured loss and fear.

This reflection is a renewal of our promise: to not only remember the past but to actively work towards a future where such sacrifices are never demanded again.
In the silence, we find gratitude; in the gratitude, we find our resolve to cherish peace.
