Max's Story

Hi, I'm Max Carrillo,

I am native to Cuautla, Morelos (Mexico) (Meshico) from the Nahua tradition, witnessed and lived the knowledge, practices and power of The Traditional Mexican Medicine, and ways of life under many Elders from different areas and regions of Mexico. I continue this lineage of teachings through my own work. Swipes, cleans, sobadas (massages). I offer Temaskali (Mexican Sweat Lodge), Toltek Ceremonies, meditations, and walks. I also work with Obsidian stone, Toltek art therapy, and Traditional Mexican Healing practices.
Talks and conversations of Anawuaka history, philosophy and calendar. Also leads tours to Sacred Mexican Sites, Cultural and Art Tours to Mexico.

I've been based in Ontario since 2007.

*Temaskali is an ancestral, time-tested ceremonial sweat-lodge practice, a unique opportunity to re-encounter both one’s self and the sacred primordial elements. Temaskali Ceremony can be carried out for hygienic, social, health, ceremonial or cultural purposes. It is a practice for rebirth and deep healing: physical, emotional and spiritual. The heat of the Temaskali makes it anti-viral and anti-microbial. There are 4 'rounds' during the sweat.

Mexican indigenous traditional medicine is considered to be the set of healthcare systems that have their roots in profound knowledge about health and disease, which the different indigenous and rural peoples of our country have accumulated throughout their history, based on an interpretation of the world (cosmovision) of health and disease of pre-Hispanic origin.
